“ Creative cuisine with a seasonal feel, paired with wine and sake. I finally got to try this Japanese restaurant in Nakameguro that I've been wanting to try for a while! It's part of the same chain as the bistro "now," also in Nakameguro, and I've always been curious about their gorgeous food, so I'm so happy! The restaurant is located in a tranquil residential neighborhood away from the station, and the lovely atmosphere makes it perfect for a date. They offer counter seating as well as table seating, so it would be great for a more adult dinner party too! Their menu featured plenty of dishes, especially clay pot rice and other dishes that let you enjoy the seasons with your eyes, so it seems like it would be a lively dinner for any occasion! The course also offered paired drinks, with a total of seven drinks, a mix of sake and wine! Starting with a champagne toast, they served a variety of drinks, from lukewarm sake to plum wine, so even alcohol lovers would be thrilled! Their customers ranged from girls' nights, dates, and group dinners to solo drinkers late into the night, so there were plenty of ways to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere! ”

“ "Iro" is a Japanese restaurant located on a quiet street in Nakameguro. Its impressive counter is made from a 400-year-old zelkova tree, creating a relaxing space where you can feel the warmth of wood. The course menu, featuring autumn ingredients, is full of seasonal flavors, both visually and deliciously. The sardine nigiri is playful, with taro used as the rice, and the yuba tart is exquisite, with the gentle aromas of persimmon and roasted green tea blending beautifully. From grilled salted pacific saury, Hida beef sukiyaki-style, to clay pot rice with hairy crab and matsutake mushroom, every dish is meticulously prepared. The pairings for each dish, from sparkling wine to sake, wine, and plum wine, are also excellent, and I was impressed by how the food and drinks complemented each other. Delicate and warm dishes, combined with a peaceful atmosphere. This is a wonderful Japanese restaurant where you can rediscover the joy of savoring the seasons. ”

“ "Iro" is a hidden Japanese restaurant in Nakameguro. As a restaurant that allows you to experience the seasons through color, it is known for serving heartwarming dishes made with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. Every dish is vibrantly colorful and so beautiful you'll want to frame it! In addition to course meals, the restaurant also offers rare pairings for Japanese cuisine, such as sake and wine, making it a relaxing place to enjoy seasonal dishes. The eye-catching 5-meter-long counter made from a single piece of zelkova wood is a sight to behold. The open kitchen creates a homey atmosphere with just the right distance between you and the staff. Today, I reserved the most popular seasonal course, but I was really looking forward to it, not knowing what would be served until I asked about the ingredients at the restaurant. The dishes featured persimmons, saury, returning bonito, figs, and matsutake mushrooms, all of which are in season now, and each was exquisite. In addition to being delicious, the food was also a joy to look at, like being in an art museum, and I was truly impressed. There are also private rooms with a tranquil atmosphere, making this a recommended space for special occasions or business entertaining. Please give it a try. Their creative Japanese cuisine celebrates the colors of seasonal ingredients, and every dish is so beautiful you'll want to take photos! Every seasonal course is delicious, especially the melt-in-your-mouth beef tongue with sea urchin and the clay pot rice with plenty of salmon roe. I wanted to eat it again and again! “ The exquisitely crafted, creative Japanese course made the most of seasonal ingredients. Located in a residential area of Nakameguro, the restaurant's secluded atmosphere allowed for a relaxing stay. The course began with persimmons, mushrooms, and hairtail fish, and was interspersed with autumnal delicacies like red sea bream, duck, and conger eel. Each dish was beautifully balanced between beautiful appearance and flavor, making it feel like eating art. The dish of Spanish mackerel and figs was particularly memorable. The Spanish mackerel was perfectly cooked, with crispy skin and plump, juicy flesh. The rich eggplant sauce gently enveloped the sweetness of the Spanish mackerel and figs, creating a beautiful harmony. The **Golden Eye Snapper and Matsutake Mushroom Clay Pot Rice (+3,000 yen)** was also exquisite. The aroma of the cooked rice was already a feast. The fragrant scorched rice, the mellow aroma of the matsutake mushrooms, and the soft, crumbling flesh of the golden-eyed snapper were a perfect match, and I was happy until the last bite. The dessert, "Benifuki," was also gently sweet, making this a very satisfying course, including the lingering aftertaste. The service was polite and friendly, with just the right amount of distance. I think it's perfect for an adult date or anniversary dinner. For a quiet, invigorating evening in Nakameguro, this is a place I'd definitely like to visit again. ”

“ We made a reservation on a weekday evening. This restaurant is located on a corner of Nakameguro's trendy restaurants. The entrance has a slightly low ceiling, creating a Japanese atmosphere. The dishes are centered around fish, beautifully presented with a seasonal feel. The sardine nigiri was fatty but not heavy, and the swordfish and fried eggplant tempura were crispy and smooth inside. The sake pairings started with champagne, and the variety of sakes was interesting. The pacific saury and glutinous rice porridge started off gently, and the soup consisted of maitake mushrooms and sea bream in bonito broth. The sashimi consisted of cold yellowtail from Himi and seared bonito from Kochi. Both were fresh, served with homemade ponzu sauce and truffle salt. The sautéed Spanish mackerel was perfectly cooked, with plump, fragrant skin. The aromas of fig, white miso, and shiso added a touch of eel and steamed turnip to create a memorable dish. The combination of conger eel, green tea noodles, and steamed turnip with grated yam was gentle yet deeply satisfying. The hairy crab clay pot rice was sublime! The umami of the crab was fully absorbed into the rice, and the matsutake mushrooms were fragrant. If you can't finish it all, it's apparently available as a souvenir, but it was so delicious that you'll want seconds. For dessert, we had Benifuuki ice cream and Nagano apples. The astringent aroma of the tea and the subtle sweet and sour taste of the apple were delicious. It went perfectly with roasted green tea. The course combined a seasonal feel with a gentle sense of satisfaction, making it one that makes you want to return in a different season! It seemed like many people were celebrating birthdays, and the person sitting next to me was celebrating as well. The intricate design on the plate was a beautiful creation that took time to create! ”

This dish is also just the right amount of fatty and delicious. It's quite filling and absolutely delicious! The umami of the miso and the gentle sweetness of the figs make for an interesting combination! ・Duck Sukiyaki The soft, low-temperature cooked duck meat is coated in the sweet sukiyaki sauce, making it delicious! The conger eel is plump, and eating it with soba noodles is a new experience! ・Clay pot rice with hairy crab, matsutake mushroom, and salmon roe It only contains my favorite ingredients!! lol Of course it's delicious! lol The aroma of the matsutake mushrooms is amazing, and it's packed with hairy crab, making it the perfect final dish! This Japanese restaurant has a hidden gem, located in a quiet residential area, just a 10-minute walk from Nakameguro Station. The atmosphere is perfect for dates and anniversaries. The courses include pairings, so we were served drinks that matched the food, from sake to wine, and we were able to try many rare drinks, which was very satisfying! The food, which made generous use of seasonal ingredients and the menu was visually appealing, made for a truly enjoyable experience. (*^^*) ”
